UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities
Makes and schedules appointment for procedures and surgeries for patients in an efficient and timely manner.
Verifies and pre-certifies insurance coverage for surgical procedures.
Coordinates day surgeries within main surgery department. Maintain productivity logs for department director.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Preferred Job Requirements:
Two (2) to three (3) years of work experience in a medical office setting
Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical scheduling
