God of War Ragnarök is a long and challenging game, no matter what difficulty option you choose. There are a wide variety of different challenges to complete, optional side-missions and goodies to collect.

Behind the Scenes

The ”Týr” that Kratos and Atreus had freed in Svartalfheim was actually Odin in disguise, who posed as his own son as a means to infiltrate Kratos' circle of allies and know their plans. This also unexpectedly led him to discover the secret prophecies that the Jötnar had hidden in their shrines.

With very, very few exceptions (one lush realm that's like a “break” I would recommend doing all sidequests in), you will return to all the realms you unlock and be able to fully explore their mysteries. There is also no “point of no return” before the ending in the game, another common question.

Will I need to hang on to my old equipment for future upgrades, or once you find better equipment is it best to sell it? Armor you can sell, weapons i would keep 1 of each since you often get upgraded versions to craft later that need the old version as a base material.

For a good Strength Build early in God of War: Ragnarok, players should use the Furious Maul, the Vidar armor set, and the Cursed Empress Handles. In God of War: Ragnarok, Strength is one of the game's six key stats, governing how much damage Kratos deals with each of his attacks.

The sidequests are mostly fun, and as mentioned, have lots of good character moments. I felt these were a lot better than a lot of games. Also note that there are a bunch of post-game quests/character epilogues that are wonderful as well, so be sure to do those as well.

She seethes with utter hatred for Kratos and especially Freya. Gna presents possibly the hardest challenge in God of War: Ragnarok and players will need to bring their a-game to this boss battle, considering it is only unlocked after the main game's story.

While God of War Ragnarok largely improves upon the combat system of its 2018 predecessor, one important change sadly makes combat far less engaging. While Ragnarök does have a decent story to follow, it's arguably a little too much and begins to feel less like a video game and more like a movie or TV show.

When focusing on the main objectives, God of War: Ragnarök is about 26½ Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 54 Hours to obtain 100% completion.
