Which Slayer master is most likely to give Kraken? ›

The best Slayer master to get Kraken tasks from is Duradel who assigns tasks of 100-120 Cave krakens and is extendable. Players wishing to extend the task may use bracelets of slaughter, preferably by switching to it at the end of each kill to get the benefit from a Tormented bracelet for most of the kill.

Unlike other optional bosses in OSRS, the requirements for fighting the Kraken isn't steep except the slayer requirement. The recommended things you need to have are: Level 75 Magic or higher. Level 87 Slayer.

The Kraken only attacks with a typeless magical ranged attack: 'Typeless' means that protection prayers will not have any effect. 'Magical ranged' means that the attack accuracy is decided by the ranged attack bonuses of the Kraken and the magic defence bonuses of the player. The max hit of this attack is 28.

The Kraken can only be fought while on a slayer task for Krakens or a boss task for the Kraken. The Kraken is an extremely popular boss due to it's relative ease and the fact that the Kraken drops Kraken tentacles and the Trident of the Seas, both are very highly in demand, especially by Ironmen.

It's generally not recommended to kill cave krakens if the player can kill their boss variant, as they have extremely poor drops which does not cover the cost of the runes needed per cast. However, ironmen often kill cave krakens due to their more frequent uncharged trident drop.

The trident of the seas is a powered staff requiring 75 Magic to wield, available as a task-only drop from cave krakens (or the kraken boss) with level 87 Slayer; normal cave krakens can drop an uncharged trident, whereas the kraken boss can drop a fully charged one.
